This was our first year without Koby for trick or treating! His scout group was handing out candy for an older couple on Mt. Vernon.
Mt. Vernon is where the entire town goes trick or treating.
Well, not exactly, but pretty close. The town gives money to the residents on the street to buy candy. The neighborhood goes all out. Awesome decorations, full size candy bars, creepy music. The street is shut down to traffic and there are policemen roaming to keep it safe. And it feels entirely safe. The kids are there with all of their friends. It truly feels like a step into a movie from the past....
