Flagstaff Getaway

My sweetie took me away to Flagstaff for a night and day. We had a great time together, and it was just what we needed.

We spent most of the day riding our bikes around downtown and NAU. We discussed whether or not we would allow our kids to go to any other college than ASU. What are your thoughts on that? That's where we went, and that's where our parents and grandparents went... We haven't yet decided what we would do if they said they wanted to go to NAU, BYU, Harvard.. (:
U of A is easy... the answer is NO.

The next day we drove out to the Lava Tube Caves. It was so pretty out.

Loved these flowers... it had just rained and the colors seemed extra bright!

Nice headlights! It was a little cold inside and a lot dark! Like you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face dark..

The cave goes for an entire mile underground. Seems too perfectly shaped in some areas to be natural.... more like a subway system.... but there are also other areas that require lots of scrambling over and under rocks.

But, the colors were so pretty! Sometimes it looked like diamonds all over the place, and other times it looked like a beautiful rusted metal..

It was a wonderful time! And the calm before the soccer storm that was just about to hit..... and HARD.
